Thanking my dad for taking me here on a random lunch! I didn't have the time to check in since I was paying more attention to the menu. Anyway, I was craving pupusas and normally Mexican Restaurants don't sell pupusas, but we ended up at Jalisco's. I already decided that I'd at least get one pupusa and another dish. This restaurant literally had EVERYTHING. There was so many options to choose from, I was having difficulty choosing! When it came to ordering, my dad and I chose to pick two plates so we can pick off of each other's. I ordered the chorizo and eggs with rice and beans. As for my dad he ordered the chimichanga with beef. My brother decided his favorite, chicken flautas with beans and rice. When we all got our food, I was amazed at how big their portions were! The chorizo and eggs tasted homemade, not a big surprise there... As for the chimichanga, OMGGGGGG... It was huge! Crispy on the outside, no complaints! It was like an atomic bomb of flavors in your mouth! The rice and beans was a little bland for me. But so far, so good!
Even though they were really busy, they made sure they were consistently checking in with us to make sure all of our needs were met. They are fast paced as well! They brought out our food within 15-20 mins which isn't that bad to me.
I've had a lot of different breakfast burritos in the east bay, but Jalisco's is by far the best I've had. They also have amazing salsa. They have excellent customer service as well. They remain my "go to" breakfast burrito.
Ever since the old "Buzz Inn" closed its doors, and Jalisco's came in, we've been meaning to try this restaurant.
Today was my birthday, and this was my choice; treated by my daughters.
I had the chilie relleno dinner, and it was delicious; and it was a very full plate. I couldn't finish; had to get a take-out box.
My husband had the chicken fajitas, and stated they were the best ones he'd ever had anywhere. (We've eaten at a LOT of Mexican restaurants.)
My daughters, son-in-law and granddaughters all liked their food too; (well, except the one weird granddaughter who ordered a tuna sandwich--go figure! Story is, they eat a lot of Mexican food, and she was probably burned out on it...LOL)
The inside is still an old building, but there is some nice original art on the walls. The ambiance isn't 5-star, but the food sure is! There were 7 in our party, and the service was great--of course, it didn't hurt that we were in early for dinner, and the almost the only customers, but even so...we were impressed.
Authentic Mexican food. Fresh ingredients. We've been coming here since it first opened and haven't ever been disappointed.
Ordered by phone for pickup. They had our food ready in the time they said (10mins) and the posole was just like nana's! Wish I could have it everyday.
Yummy food! Bean dip is a nice treat. We will definitely be back. Great service and good food
I absolutely love this restaurant. We quit coming here years ago but this is a whole new place. Our favorite waitress is Nancy. She is awesome! She remembers us so well that by the time we walk in and sit down she's giving us our drinks. She is new at waitressing but is already our favorite:)
Excellent and affordable. Great food comfortable setting.
Owners and staff are friendly and accommodating.
I love this place!! Such a good Mexican restaurant, everything tastes authentic and the employees are very accommodating and get your food to you quick! Love their burritos and fried chicken!
First time here. Was skeptical about the service since I'm so used to the Brentwood location. I was corrected. It's amazing. The server, he was out of this world. Definitely worth 5 stars. I hate doing reviews, but this one I had to do.
